MicroNeedling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy CIT) is a rejuvenation treatment that is comparable in results to skin lasers. An automated professional micropen is used for its optimum performance and safety profile. The process is based on creating tiny micro channels in the skin and is designed to stimulate the body’s natural collagen and elastin production. The micro channels allows topical serums to penetrate the skin more effectively to accelerate result. The repair of the skin begins immediately and the treatment is minimally invasive.

How does Microneedling work?
A micro-needling device is used to gently penetrate the skin to stimulate and repair new collagen and elastin growth. This is a controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro channels to produce firmer and younger looking skin.
How is the treatment done?
A sterile needle tip containing 12 tiny micro needles is attached to the micropen. The skin is cleansed and a topical cream is applied for 15 minutes. The topical is removed and the micro-needling device is gently glided over the skin to create micro channels. These microscopic channels close within 3-5 minutes, but stimulates the skin enough to create new collagen which may last for up to a year.
What type of results will I see?
While micro-needling is suitable for most skin types not all skin types respond the same. However, clients who undergo a course of microNeedling report a 60-80% improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, smooth skin texture and a reduction in brown spots. The effect on facial scaring demonstrated a 89% reduction in scaring.
What is the downtime?
After the procedure your skin will show an immediate glow and redness. The redness will begin to subside 24-48 hours after the treatment. During the first 3 days you will also experience some skin tightness, dryness and mild sensitivity to touch on the areas that have been treated. This diminishes greatly following the treatment and over the next 2-3 days.
What does it feel like?
The feel of MicroNeedling is similar to the feel of a microdermabrasion or the feel of sandpaper.
How many treatments do I need?
Some only require a single treatment, once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced poto-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6 week intervals.
How long after the treatment do I have to wait to wear makeup?
You can return to your regular makeup routine after 24 hours. A mineral makeup is recommended along with skin care products and an SPF.
How do I get the best results out of your microNeedling treatment?
Make sure you are on a good home card products that consist of a vitamin A, anti oxidants, nourishing lipids and growth factor.
